Right out of the car dealership you would think 2019 Subaru STI would be the perfect package. It’s got a turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-four engine pushing a healthy 300 plus horsepower, a nice set of Brembo brakes and an all-wheel drive drivetrain that’s imperative for all terrains for the four seasons. While this may sound like everything you would want in a car Alex took it a step further. Maybe many steps.

The already aggressive STI exterior gets a 365 Performance carbon fiber front lip and SubiSpeed USDM TR style sequential taillights. Taking a page from Subaru Motorsports USA, Alex opted for a set of Method Race Wheels 502 Rally Series with the new gold finish. A few key features of the wheels include the solid A356 aluminum and T6 heat treatment construction and that the wheels were over engineered to exceed SAE 2530 specifications.

For a more aggressive stance Alex tossed the factory suspension and replaced them with a set of HKS Max IV SP coilovers. To stabilize the chassis even more Alex installed Cusco front and rear sway bars as well as Cusco rear lower control arms. Flimsy OEM steel endlinks were replaced with Perrin’s versions to provide a solid connection between the way bar and chassis. To bring out the infamous Subaru rumble a Tomei catback exhaust.

Currently the car is Alex’s daily driver and has plans to build out the engine with a goal set for 400 whp. At least for now he’s got his wheel setup dialed. To learn more about the 502 Rally wheels hit the banner below.
