The Mint 400 claimed a lot of vehicles this year. Just over half of the field actually finished but Justin Lambert of Cognito Motorsports was not giving up. After drawing a 28th place start position Justin had some work to do. They launched off the line 2 wide and locked into a solid race pace but ended up hitting a bottle neck on the speed zone. Fortunately they caught the leaders ahead of them but were sitting at the back of the pack. After getting through all of the traffic Justin blew a belt and saw he would need a new CV Joint also. The joint broke just before Pit B and it took them about 15 min to get it changed and limped into the pit. The team rushed and Justin was on his way. Passing competitors again. Justin went through another belt and had to fall back a few positions. Back out on the track he would pass the other competitors back again and settle into a good race pace. Justin and the Cognito Motorsports team would end up changing a total of 5 axles throughout the The Mint but would finish a solid 10th place. Good job guys.
