Opening rounds of Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Series were held in sunny and hot Lake Elsinore, CA. The motorsports park was packed with drivers eager to start the season, many with something to prove. ProLite rookie Brad DeBerti came out swinging in his new truck, previously run by Brian Deegan. Friday night, DeBerti qualified 7th and improved to 4th on Saturday.  During Friday's Round 1 race, the rookie set the fastest lap with a 50.9 working his way through the field and getting his first LOORS win in the National series! With only a handful of Regional races under his belt, the victory was that much more impressive for DeBerti. Round 2 on Saturday night had everyone on the edge of their seats. With tight competition between Brad Deberti, Sheldon Creed, RJ Anderson, & Jimmy Fishback, the crowd enjoyed one hell of a show. After starting the race in fourth, DeBerti quickly advanced to first. With two laps remaining and fierce battles happening behind him in 2nd through 4th, he checked out and steadily pulled away from the pack. Setting an even faster lap at 50.7, Creed and the rest were unable to catch him. All in all it was an awesome weekend with great racing from all drivers!
